I have used this setup twice, once in my singleplayer E2E skyblock world, and again on the server. Both times it has lasted me until endgame, or at least until environmental tech ore miners. Quite cheap for midgame technologies, I would recommend having a basic ME system and ic2 UU-matter access before attempting to setup one of these. Bibliocraft enchantment duping is also recommended, or the EnderIO enchanter.
We shall start with the power generation, which is of course Mekanism ethylene generators. I think it creates excess power, which could be used in other parts of the base, but it is sufficient for our needs for this particular project.
The resource generation method is Ex Nihilo (or ex compressum i think it is actually) auto sieves, combined with Industrial Foregoing stonework factories and flux anodizer augmented redstone furnaces for material processing.
You start by needing the following materials.
This is a bit of an old setup, I would recommend replacing the resonant retriever/itemducts/ultimate logistical transporters with integrated dynamics item cables, as they are much faster. The sieves are enchanted with sieve efficiency 5 and sieve fortune 3. If you’re a madman, you can use the compound bow to double these enchantments for even more sieve output, but not necessary.
Youll then want to assemble the gas generator “engine” like so
The mekanism machines are all fully upgraded (do not put energy upgrades in the electrolytic separator, it doesnt decrease power consumption only increases the energy buffer). Melons are IMO the best source of biofuel if immersive garden cloches are used, as you can immediately convert the melon blocks produced into melon slices with a compacting drawer, then to be used in a crusher for biofuel. The rest is fairly self-explanatory: sink for water to the cloches, PRC and electrolytic separator, trash can for the substrate (or drawer with void upgrade, you choose), and ethylene into 3 gas burning generators (yes one fully upgraded prc running constantly can run 3 maxed gas-burnings) This setup can produce (i estimate) around 10-20 kRF/t.
Now we get to the resource generation, again this is an old setup, i would recommend integrated dynamics item cables over mekanism cables for moving the items.
I’m not sure how clear the picture makes it, but essentially the stonework factories (fully upgraded) produce materials which feed into the auto sieves (3 diamond mesh for gravel/sand/dust and 1 flint mesh for gravel, as it gives materials that the other ones dont), that are then extracted into RFTools crafters to craft the ore pieces into ores (with all the necessary filters). The ores are then sent into redstone furnaces with the flux anodizer augment (this was the fastest and most compact thing i could find that would ore double) and are then sent into a drawer controller. The extra redstone furnace you can see on the side is solely for black quartz dust, idk why i made a seperate thing just for it.
This is another angle of the setup.
I forgot to mention earlier, but the redstone/lever in the materials list is to shut off the stonework factories from working if need be, which then shuts off the whole system (remember to set them to redstone on mode).
