Hi. If you read about cake farming, you could know what a unique idea came up there. It’s really good work. But here I want to share my ideas on mana generation.
First of all a bit of math. Kekimurus can produce 1,800 mana each 4 seconds (450\sec), which is quite good. But I suggest another way of mana generation in post-ElvenGateway time. It can produce 75,000 mana each 10 seconds (7,500\sec). The flower that grants such prosuction is Shulk Me Not.
First of all you need Shulkers to spawn. After that some mobs for Shulker to attack. And then system which pump out mana of the flower.
Shulkers can be spawned with Mob Duplicator (Industrial Foregoing). This machine requires Essence to work. The easiest wat to get Essence is Mob Crusher. Mob Crusher requires mobs to come in front of him. This is why we need a mob spawner to supply it. And skipping how Shulker kills someone, you need fast enough mana extraction system. Keep in mind that Shulk Me Not consumes Shulker if flower’s mana buffer is empty. So the speed of all generation depends on Mana Spreaders. For the fact, Gaia Spreader can pump 75k mana in 10 seconds, Elven Spreader in 50 seconds, Basic Spreader in 90 seconds. The better Spreader you use, the more mana you can get in a second. And additionally you may need Heisei Dream flower to make Shulker attack mobs. Here is what you need in basics:
Of course you’ll face with limitations of system. First, basic mechanics of game and mods. Mob Duplicator has it’s own working zone. You have to block 2 lower blocks to prevent shulkers from spawn underneath. When working with Mob Crusher, you can place it under floor if needed. That’s specific of it’s working zone. If you use vanilla mob spawner, you should keep in mind that thay work in 16 blocks radius. If you play on DDSS server, Heisei Dream can be broken. In that case you have to agro Shulkers on yourself. Use slab walls(in upper or lower positions) to make shulker see you but struggle to aim through wall. If you play with Infernal Mobs mod, you need to destroy cobwebs that rarely spawn on Mob Duplicator working zone(you can automate it’s destruction). If mana pools are full, Shulkers will start to teleport everywhere(it doesn’t happen when pools aren’t full).
With that being said, I can now explain why you need 2 blocks for Shulker to spawn. The reason is because we’ll use 2 Shulkers to attack each other. One of them spawns on Mob Duplicator and other on wall 1 block higher(I mean WALL, place some solid blocks for him to stick on!). They will accidently shoot each other and Shulk Me Not flower will be fed. But here is a little trick with Shulker’s AI. You shouldn’t make a 1×1 room for them to spawn. They will teleport immediately. Leave them a bit of space to rise and shine. After that, with Essence generation and energy supply you will get an infinite and super fast mana generation.
A bit of numbers here. Mob Duplicator spawn 2 Shulkers every 2 seconds. That means if you place 5 flowers with Gaia Spreaders, you will get the most speed. But if you need even more, you just setup another Mob Duplicator or use another Shulker spawning method. This system is good scalable and need few flowers to work fine.
Another problem that comes when you have no Heisei Dream is your appearence near Duplicator. It’s not a big deal if you keep in count that flowers from Botania work correctly in ~ 20 blocks from player. But when you place a chunk loader and want a stable mana generation you should choose another method(or scale this system so big, so you fill 8 mana pools in a minute).
